Did you know
The building was originally a Clerkenwell merchant's house and later a clock workshop before its current shopfront was added in 1810; it only became licensed premises in the 1990s, first as the Jerusalem Tavern under St Peter's Brewery, then reopening as The Holy Tavern in 2022 when that lease ended.
Local tip
The small, candlelit rooms and intimate mezzanine fill up fast given the pub's compact size, so it's better suited to an early evening drink than a big group arriving late.
