A small community-run nature reserve in Deptford on the site of a former pottery works, created in 1984 after local campaigning and renamed in 1994 for environmental campaigner Sue Godfrey.

Did you know
More than 200 species of wild flowers, shrubs and trees have been recorded on the site, a patch of scrub and grassland reclaimed from a derelict pottery yard and later a lorry park.
Local tip
It's tiny and easy to miss among the surrounding streets, look for the entrance off Deptford Church Street. A fully wheelchair-accessible path through the site was completed in 2024.
