Did you know
Before the park was built, sculptor Rachel Whiteread turned 193 Grove Road at its edge into a cast of its own interior, a work that won her the Turner Prize in 1993.
Local tip
The park is open 24 hours a day. Walk across the Green Bridge over Mile End Road, designed by Piers Gough and opened in July 1999, and visit the Ecology Park with its lake.
