Did you know
The museum closed for five years (2017–2023) for its rebuild, and now displays over 2,000 of Hunter's original anatomical preparations in a single 22-metre gallery, England's largest public display of human anatomy.
Local tip
This is real preserved human anatomy on public display, not illustrations or models. Worth knowing before you go if that's not something you want to see, and worth seeking out specifically if it is.
