Did you know
The reservoir was dug in the 1830s to top up the Regent's Canal and now holds what the Friends group describes as the largest great crested grebe colony in Greater London.
Local tip
Public access is free to most of the shore, mainly from Welsh Harp Open Space on the north-western side and Neasden Recreation Ground on the south. The sluice and sailing club areas are restricted and swimming is not recommended.
