Did you know
The tavern's backstory is played entirely straight: it's presented as having been passed down from Fogg's late Aunt Gertrude to his housekeeper Miss Fanny McGee, and the ceiling is hung with genuine-looking travel curios and artefacts from around the world to match.
Local tip
Go on the night of the regular cockney singalong with live music if you want the full theatrical effect, and stick to the pies and roasts on the food menu rather than treating it as just a cocktail bar.
