Holland Park has a second Japanese garden, the Fukushima Memorial Garden, opened in July 2012 to thank the British people for their support after the disasters that struck Japan in March 2011.
Local tip
Visit on a weekday morning for a quiet, contemplative walk around the koi pond and waterfall. Weekends draw big crowds, and keep an eye out for the park's resident peacocks.
