Did you know
The garden holds the National Collection of Wilson 50 Kurume Azaleas, a group of dwarf Japanese azaleas first brought to the West by plant collector Ernest Wilson in the 1920s, and they reach peak bloom for only a few weeks each spring.
Local tip
Visit in late April to early May for the azaleas at their best, and arrive early via the Broomfield Hill car park, since this is one of the most visited corners of Richmond Park during bloom season.
