Did you know
Thirty Thai painters decorated the ordination hall: work began in 1984, the central room was finished in 1987 and the two side rooms in 1992.
Local tip
The grounds are free (donations welcome) and open daily, 9.30am-6pm in spring and summer and 9.30am-5pm in autumn and winter, but the main temple opens only at weekends or by appointment. Confirm times before a special trip, especially around festivals.
