Did you know
The street market has traded since 1883, but by the early 2000s it was down to a couple of produce stalls. A new Saturday food market launched on 8 May 2004 and revived it.
Local tip
It only runs on Saturdays, 9am-5pm. Get there for opening or leave it until late afternoon, since late morning to early afternoon is when it's most rammed.
