Did you know
e5 Bakehouse began in spring 2010, when founder Ben, fresh from a sourdough course, built a clay oven in the corner of a Hackney railway arch and re-invented himself as a baker.
Local tip
Arrive by mid-morning while the bakery's in full swing and the sourdough and almond croissants are freshest. The arch gets a steady lunchtime crowd for the takeaway pizzetta.
