Did you know
The first recorded prisoner in the Tower, Bishop Ranulf Flambard, was also the first to escape, using a rope smuggled in a butt of wine.
Local tip
A Yeoman Warder guided tour is included in your ticket (the last one is at 15:15), so plan your arrival around one. Doors opened at 09:00 Tuesday to Saturday and 10:00 on Sunday and Monday on the September 2026 timetable, and adult tickets were £37.
