Did you know
The restaurant opened in 1987 as a staff canteen for an architecture practice, won a Michelin star in 1997 and trained chefs including Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
Local tip
Lunch is served Monday to Sunday 12-3pm and dinner Monday to Saturday 6-9:30pm, and the menu changes with the season. Mains ran to £69 on the menu I read, so it is a special-occasion booking; the chocolate nemesis is the classic dessert.
