Did you know
The current building is the third theatre on the site, opened in 1858 after fires in 1808 and 1856. Its glass and iron Floral Hall, built for a flower market, is now the Paul Hamlyn Hall.
Local tip
The Paul Hamlyn Hall is free to enter from noon every day until the venue closes. Backstage tours must be booked in advance, and the Friday Live at Lunch performances are ticketed.
