Did you know
It's been an actual touring and performing marionette theatre since 1982, when Movingstage Marionette Company founders Gren Middleton and Juliet Rogers converted an old 80-foot Thames lighter. The seasonal move to Richmond every summer has been a running tradition since 2009.
Local tip
It only seats 50 people, so book ahead rather than turning up. Check which mooring (Little Venice or Richmond) it's at for the season before you go, since it genuinely moves twice a year.
