Did you know
The statue, unveiled in 2000 and sculpted by Marcus Cornish, was moved to its current position beside the station clock on Platform 1 after standing in a different spot near the escalators for years, following station renovation works.
Local tip
Go early morning before the station gets busy with commuters if you want a clear photo, and look for the statue's small brass suitcase and marmalade sandwich detail, both cast into the bronze.
