Did you know
Founders Eric and Salome Estorick stumbled into the collection almost by accident. They discovered a book on Futurism while on their honeymoon in 1947, then visited a former Futurist artist's Milan studio before the trip was even over and bought most of its contents.
Local tip
It's a genuinely small, easy-to-miss gallery in a quiet Islington square. Go specifically for the Futurist rooms (Boccioni, Carrà, Balla) rather than expecting a broad general Italian-art survey.
