Did you know
Built in 1869, the Cutty Sark was among the last tea clippers built before steamships took over the trade, and a major 2007 fire during restoration destroyed part of the hull, though most of the original fabric survived because key sections had been removed for conservation work at the time.
Local tip
Go beneath the hull, which is raised on display so visitors can walk underneath it, and buy a combined ticket with the Royal Observatory next door since both sit within Greenwich Park.
