Did you know

Cafe de Nata was the first UK cafe bakery dedicated entirely to pasteis de nata when it launched in 2016, and the tart itself traces back to a recipe created by monks at the Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon before the 18th century.

Local tip

Watch the tarts being made through the open kitchen window and ask for one fresh from the oven, they are best eaten warm with a dusting of cinnamon.
