It was still being painted in 1982 when it was defaced with right-wing slogans; it was finished in 1983 and restored in 2011 for the 75th anniversary of the battle.

It is on an outdoor wall so you can see it at any time. The Battle of Cable Street took place on 4 October 1936, so early October is a fitting moment to visit.
