Did you know
The building went up in 1905 for the theatrical wigmaker Willy Clarkson, who has a blue plaque there, and the restaurant's old reputation for rude waiters faded after a refit reopened it in 2001.
Local tip
Bring cash, as Time Out lists Wong Kei as cash-only. In its 2026 cheap-eats guide the wonton soup was £7.50 and the wonton noodle ho fun soup £9.50, so a soup is the quick, filling order.
