Did you know
It began in 1988, run by former taxi driver David Mossman, and moved in 2005 to Gillett Square in Dalston after its old building was bought by developers.
Local tip
In Vortex's September 2026 listings a standard gig ticket was £15, with members at £7.50 and students at £6.25. It is a mixed seated and standing room where seats are only guaranteed for members, so arrive early to sit.
