Village Underground
A live music and club venue in a converted Victorian coal warehouse in Shoreditch, topped by four decommissioned Jubilee line tube carriages sitting on a disused railway viaduct.
- Club
- Price: ££ · Mid-range

Did you know
The four tube carriages on the roof once ran on the Jubilee line and sat unused as artist studio space above the venue for two decades; in July 2026, as part of a rooftop redevelopment, two of the four carriages were removed to make way for a new terrace and pergola, while the remaining two were opened to the public for the first time as part of a new rooftop bar.
Local tip
The rooftop and remaining tube carriages are now open to the public separately from the main venue floor. Worth checking whether you want the club night downstairs, the rooftop bar, or both, since they run on different access and opening patterns.
