Did you know
Originally called The Romford Arms, it was renamed The Pride of Spitalfields in the mid-1980s; some researchers place Jack the Ripper witness George Hutchinson drinking there on the night of the Mary Kelly murder in November 1888.
Local tip
Say hello to Lenny, the pub's resident cat, and go on a Tuesday evening for the sing-along around the piano. This is an unpretentious local boozer, not a tourist stop.
