Did you know
The building was a private family mansion before it became a hostel, and much of the original Victorian character, ornate ceilings, staircases, and period details, has been kept rather than stripped out.
Local tip
Beds come with privacy curtains, a genuine step up from a standard open dorm. The kitchen is small, so plan to eat out rather than cook much, and the Jubilee line at Swiss Cottage gets you into central London quickly.
