Did you know
It opened in 1995 as Lifetimes, a deliberately neutral name chosen after research found that the words museum and history put people off. It became the Museum of Croydon in 2006.
Local tip
Free entry, open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am, and closed on bank holidays. The galleries close at 4.30pm.
