It first opened on 24 February 1910, designed by Gerald Seymour Valentin, and after closing in 1993 it reopened in 2001. It is Grade II* listed.
Local tip
The auditorium opens 15 minutes before each screening, and the licensed bar serves cocktails, wine, beer and food. Book ahead through the box office for popular screenings.
