Did you know
The rooms were left almost untouched after they were sealed in August 1945, so much of what visitors see, down to the sugar cubes and marked-up wall maps, is original wartime material rather than later reconstruction.
Local tip
Book a timed ticket online in advance, since walk-up admission can mean a long wait, and allow at least two hours to get through both the war rooms and the attached Churchill Museum.
